- THE SWARM -

COLUMBIA HAUNTED HOUSE 2014

Those who walked into this world ventured through this dark uncomfortable space on a squishy, uterine path, having to evade the abundance of slimy feti filled sacks dangling from every direction.  Just when you think you're in the clear, out of the swarm, two crying phalices emerge from the walls in desperation; disturbed by their state and the tresspassers presence.

My proclaimed mission was to provide an experience that both simulated and limited targeted senses, making those question sexuality and transform views on organic and social norms.  The Idea for the codom - fetus relationship here first bloomed from a concept reversal project I'd previously played with while at Columbia College. The Idea of sex, using a condom to prevent genetic material, to prevent life; and in turn  to reform the codom as a cocoon like structure, to support gennetic material and life instead.  In consideration of my initial struggle for existence itstelf, the siblings I had who never quite made it through, and my evergrowing interest in nature and the creaton of life; the human form of the fetus in this vaunderable state has always be a disturbing and beautiful form for me to reflect ideas off of.
