Q. WHAT DO YOU CHARGE FOR YOUR GRAPHIC DESIGN SERVICES?
My prices depend on many variants, but you can be sure you are getting a great value for your design project.
Q. HOW DOES YOUR DESIGN PROCESS WORK?
I prefer to meet my clients in person; but in a case of long distance or preference, communication will occur by phone or through Skype (@DemiKayCreations).
Q. IS THE ARTWORK OUR PROPERTY ONCE PAID FOR?
No, not the actual artwork files unless agreed upon in the proposal. However, ALL approved web images and high resolution images purchased are 100% yours once the project is completed and paid for. Designs are not duplicated, replicated, or shared between projects under any circumstances!
Q. HOW WAS THE ARTWORK FOR MY PROJECT MADE?
I create my designs using various programs within the Adobe Creative Suite. Ocasionally some designs will be hand drawn and digitally remastered. All designs are 100% original and made by myself.
Q. HOW DO I CHECK ON THE PROGRESS OF MY DESIGN PROJECT DURING THE DESIGN PROCESS?
During the design process I’ll present the logos to the client at the black and white stage, then again at color stage, and wait for final approval before I save out all the files for you. The client's logo files are still considered my artwork, and I am up front about this part of the process. I do save all client design work on my personal hard drive, and may use them on my website as promotional material with consent.
Q. DO I GET A VECTOR FILE FOR MY DESIGN PROJECT ONCE CREATED?
YES, you will get an EPS (vector), jpeg, and png. Upon Request designs can be made to fulfill needs for all platforms of use – including business cards, letterheads, envelopes, brochure designs, graphics for web sites, direct mail designs, email marketing, mailing labels, presentation folders, and any other needs your business may require.
Q. HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY DESIGN PROJECT ONCE IT IS FINISHED?
A finished project is yours upon receipt of final payment. I typically send a zip file containing the appropriate files for the project. At your request I will supply the electronic files through email, dropbox, etc. I will also keep a copy of your project on file for later updates or should you lose your copy.
Q. WHAT IS THE CLIENT’S INVOLVEMENT IN THE DESIGN PROCESS?
As a non-agency, I’ll listen to my clients from start-to-finish. I encourage the client to bring in any samples, color combinations/swatches, and ideas they may have to help get an idea of style before starting the process. During the design process, the client is asked to approve certain colors and fonts before work continues. Once the design project is ready for print, a final proof will be submitted to the customer for approval before commiting to production. Once a job is in production, the job cannot be cancelled.
Q. HOW DO YOU QUOTE YOUR DESIGN SERVICES?
My quote is an estimate based on the content of the project, my independent hourly design rate as a licensed designer, and the estimated amount of time I believe it will take to successfully give my client exactly what they’re looking for. My design process with logo creation and re-mastering includes an average of 1 - 3 design trials; each including 3 - 5 unique designs per trial if not more.
Q. HOW LONG WILL THE DESIGN PROCESS TAKE?
Time quotes per project depend on many variables pretaining to my availbitiy and the scale of the project at hand. I will discuss with my cliets upfront what my availability is like before I accept or begin work on a project.
